CRPF constable held after wife's mysterious death

A CRPF constable was today detained after his wife, a Sri Lankan Tamil refugee, died under suspicious circumstances at her parent's house at Thammampatty near here, police said today.
24-year old Gnanakumari was found lying unconscious soon after her husband Manojkumar left the house. She was rushed to the local government hospital where doctors declared her brought dead.
The cause of death would be known only after post-mortem, police said adding it was suspected that Manokumar could have smothered her to death with a pillow.
The CRPF constable had married Gnanakumari six years ago after falling in lover with her. The couple had two sons.

Manojkumar, who used to visit the family once in six months on leave, had been suspecting the fidelity of his wife and used to quarrel with her, police said.
A case of suspicious death had been regsitered and Manojkumar detained by police.
