Crude oil futures rose 0.20 per cent to Rs 3,535 per barrel today as speculators raised their bets amid a firm trend overseas.
In futures trading at the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for delivery in November was trading higher by Rs 7, or 0.20 per cent, at Rs 3,535 per barrel in 5,930 lots.
Analysts said rise in crude oil futures was largely in tandem with a rising trend in the global market.
Meanwhile, the US benchmark West Texas Intermediate crude price rose 28 cents, or 0.51 per cent, to USD 54.66 a barrel and Brent crude up 25 cents, or 0.41 per cent, to USD 61.19.
