CSE index gains 64 pts

The benchmark index CSE-40 rose by 64.16 points during the session. The local bourse in the previous session was up 187.26 points in the previous session.

The index opened at 6525.60 and during the session it gained to close at 6589.76.

Total turnover was Rs 17.39 crore from trading of 17 scrips.

Blueprint Securities was at Rs 308 at close.

Infosys Technologies was at Rs 2603.60 at the end of the session, up by 2 per cent over previous close.

Reliance Industries was down to Rs 854, a share, while State Bank of India ended higher at Rs 2148.95.

Tata Steel was up at Rs 406 at close and Twenty First Century was at Rs 326 at close.
