Cyberabad East Commissionerate launches WhatsApp number, FB,

The newly carved out Cyberabad (East) Commissionerate today announced launch of Facebook and Twitter pages and also started a WhatsApp number for enabling citizens to put their grievances through these social networking platforms.
"To outreach the communities of Cyberabad (East) Commissionerate, easily and effectively, we today launched WhatsApp mobile number (9490617111), to which public is requested to send their grievances, suggestions, feedback and partnering ideas," Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad East, Mahesh Muralidhar Bhagawat told reporters.
Besides, WhatsApp, public can also post complaints on the newly created www.Facebook.Com/cyberabadcop.East and Twitter handle twitter.Com/CyberabadEast, said Bhagawat, who took charge on July 1.
"A separate Facebook page has been created to each police station to reach the communities in their localities," he said adding public is requested to visit local police station Facebook and post grievances, suggestions and feedback.
Assuring of quickly responding to the Facebook and Twitter posts and grievances lodged on WhatsApp, the top cop said, "Citizens can communicate with us on these social networking sites and pass any information on crime and there will be quick response from our side".
A dedicated 24/7 social media team will look after such grievances immediately and get back to the victims before disseminating the grievances to the police wings/stations concerned to act on that information, he explained.
After bifurcation of Cyberabad Police Commissionerate, new Commissionerates Cyberabad East and Cyberabad West were carved out recently.
Cyberabad East will have zones of Malkajgiri and L B Nagar and a new zone - Bhongiri, which is part of Nalgonda district will also be included and will have 29 police stations under its jurisdiction.
Cyberabad East Commissionerate which is functioning from the Cyberabad Commissionerate at Gachibowli here is likely to have its own building in next one year.
"We are looking at government land for construction of the new office building and we may also shift to a rented premises," Bhagawat added.
