DA dues of governmentt employees to be paid in stages

Paschimbanga Sarkari Karmachari Federation today met Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to discuss about dearness allowance dues of the employees and on recruitment of vacant posts.
Mrigen Maiti of Paschimbanga Sarkari Karmachari Federation after the meeting told reporters that Banerjee had assured them of looking into their demand and will give their dues in phases due to severe financial constraints.
Recently, the state government had increased DA by seven per cent.
Banerjee had earlier said that after she came to power there was a raise of 30 per cent in DA, for which the government had to spend Rs 9,000 crore from the state exchequer.
Additional burden of Rs 2,100 crore was added with seven per cent hike in the recent past.
According to Maiti, CM had also assured them about fulfilling the vacant posts in various departments.
Maiti had complained that a section of the bureaucracts was not cooperating with them.
