Dacoit gang busted in Bihar

Police today claimed to
have busted a gang of dacoits after arresting six persons and seizing four pistols and a few cartridges from them in Muzaffarpur district today.
The arrests were made following intelligence inputs from Kudhni police station area about the gang used to operate in Muzaffarpur, Samastipur, Vaishali, Saran, East Champaran and Sitamarhi districts, Senior Superintendent of Police Jitendra Rana said
"The gang was involved in several incidents of dacoity, murder, loot, highway robberies and other heinous crimes in these districts. It had committed a couple of crimes recently in Muzaffarpur also," he said.
The SSP said the gang had connections with big inter-state gangs and this angle was being probed further.
