Actress Daisy Ridley has left Instagram following online abuse she received on the photo-video sharing website.
The 24-year-old "Star Wars" actress was accused of hypocrisy by some users, after she posted a tribute to the victims of gun violence in America.
Daisy posted following the Teen Choice Awards 2016 on Sunday, after the audience were introduced to Alton Sterling's son Cameron, and victims from the Orlando, Newtown and San Bernardino shootings.
"Serious bit: as I sat in the audience yesterday tears were streaming down my face at the tribute to those that have been lost to gun violence.
"I didn't get a great picture of the incredible group that came on stage but they were so brave. It was a true moment of togetherness. We must #stoptheviolence," she wrote.
However, people accused her of hypocrisy because her "Star Wars" character Rey occasionally shoots stormtroopers with a blaster.
Her Instagram account has now been deleted, and judging by comments made by co-star John Boyega, she won't be returning anytime soon.
Writing to a fan in a now-deleted Instagram comment, Boyega said, "She's doing what's best for her. I won't be advising my friend to come back. Sorry."
He added, "She makes her own decisions and as a friend, I support her right to.
