"The Force Awakens" helmer JJ Abrams revealed the 23-year-old actress' singing plans, calling her "the most beautiful voice" he ever heard, reported E! online.
"One day on set, she just started singing and had the most beautiful voice I ever heard. She is going to record a song with an unnamed person, but let's just say a massive superstar," Abrams said.
The filmmaker was present at the US-Ireland Alliance's Oscar Wilde Awards, where Ridley was among this year's honorees.
James Corden, "Room" director Lenny Abrahamson and "Penny Dreadful" actress Sarah Greene were also honoured.
