Some flights suffered delays as operations at the airport here were suspended for about one-and-half hours tonight following "damage" to the runway.
Both take off and landing were suspended from around 7.30 pm after the damage in a portion of the runway was noticed by Air Traffic control personnel, airport officials said.
After the maintenance workers attended to the damage, the flight operations were resumed at around 9.15 pm, they said.
Officials declined to divulge further information, including on the number of flights diverted or delayed.
