Oscar-winning filmmaker Danny Boyle hinted at the possibility of a "Trainspotting" sequel, saying the four main actors from the original film want to "come back."
The 1966 British black comedy crime drama film starred Ewan McGregor, Jonny Lee Miller, Robert Carlyle and Ewen Bremner in lead roles.
The 58-year-old, "127 Hours" helmer, who already has the idea for the sequel to 1996 hit, said the schedules of the actors need to be checked, reported Deadline.
"All the four main actors want to come back and do it, and so now it is only a matter of getting all their schedules together which is complicated by two of them doing American TV series," Boyle said.
Details of the project are not available yet, but the filmmaker is expected to go back to the source material.
The film may be based on Irvine Welsh's 2002 book "Porno" which was a sequel to "Trainspotting".
