"The transport department has directed all transport unions not to charge extra or exorbitant fares from passengers moving from Jammu to Srinagar in connection with Annual Darbar Move for the year 2013-14," an official spokesperson said.
According to a notification issued by the transport commissioner, anyone found violating the directives shall be dealt under law.
Passengers can take up their grievances to the transport commissioner or joint transport commissioner on the phone number 9419008749, deputy transport commissioner on 9419198023 and regional transport officer, Kashmir on 9419095590.
