The 66-year-old actor, who recently revealed he is suffering from dementia since 2015, does not have a regular father-and-children dynamics with son Beau and daughter Katie, reported People magazine.
Talking about his only daughter, who has starred in shows like "Gossip Girl and "Arrow", Cassidy said, "I've never had a relationship with her. I wasn't her father. I was her biological father but I didn't raise her. She has a completely different life."
He added he is "proud" of her and it is hard for him to come to terms that she is all of 30 now.
"He's just one of the best people you'll ever meet in your life and it's that that I'm proud of," the actor said.
