The 46-year-old actor, who featured as antagonist, Kilgrave, will return to the Marvel show despite his character being killed by Krysten Ritter, the protagonist, reported Entertainment Weekly.
The first look of the arch-enemies was revealed on the magazine's Instagram account.
"He's back! #DavidTennant is officially returning to @marvelsjessicajones for season two!
"Specific details of Tennant's involvement are under wraps, but we can exclusively share the first photo of the #DoctorWho alum on set with @therealkrystenritter!" read the post alongside the still.
"Jessica Jones" season 2 will air in early 2018.
