Dead body recovered from canal in Ghaziabad

The body of an unidentified person bearing slit marks on its neck was today fished out from a canal in Loni area of the district, police said.
The body, entangled in wild grass in the Banthala-Behta canal, was noticed by local villagers who informed the Loni border police, they said.
The body was then fished out by divers and sent for post mortem, said SHO Virender Yadav.
Further probe in the case was on and police is trying to establish the identity of the deceased, Yadav said.
