Death toll rises to four in tourist cab explosion

Indira Parmar (73), who was in the ICU at SKIMS hospital here, died at around 9.30 pm tonight.

On July 28, the explosion took place inside the cab at Bijbehara, 45 kms from here, resulting in the death of three tourists from Maharashtra and injuries to five others.

Initially, police had said that a gas cylinder had exploded in the vehicle, however, following forensic test, the investigators are now probing a militant angle into the explosion.

According to eyewitness and forensic experts, militants had used grenade for the explosion.
