"The decision is of the party. The government has to send it (to the Govenor)," Akhilesh told reporters here when asked if the cabinet had decided on the names.
He said the Samajwadi Party and the government would taken a decision in this regard soon. "The list will be send before May 25," he said.
BSP MLCs whose term will expire next month include Kamlakant Gautam, Gopal Narain Mishra, Naushad Ali, A L Tomar, Medhraj Singh, Ramchandra Singh Pradhan, Vinay Shakya and Shivbodh Ram.
