A city businessman today escaped unhurt after he was allegedly shot at by a bike-borne assailant near Deshbandhu Gupta road in central Delhi, police said.
In a complaint, Hardev Singh (50), who owns a tyre business in Karol Bagh and a production house in Mumbai, claimed that a woman marketing manager of a noted Bollywood actor tried to get him killed.
Singh alleged that he was being followed by two persons, one in a car and another on a motorcycle, while he was driving to work this morning, police said.
According to the police, the bike-borne assailant opened fire at Singh and the bullet pierced both the windows of his car and hit a concrete wall.
"An FIR will be lodged after investigation in the case. Facts are being verified currently. The names of the people he has accused have been withheld," police said.
