Delhi cop's son shoots mother dead in Haryana village

The accused, Sunil alias Bittu (32), son of Delhi Police sub-inspector Rai Singh, allegedly shot dead Shakuntla (55) over a financial dispute, Bahadurgarh DSP Rajeev Deswal said.

The accused purportedly called his father later and confessed to his crime. Shakuntla's body, which was found lying in a pool of blood, has been sent for postmortem, Deswal said.

Following a complaint by Rai Singh, police have registered a case and launched a hunt to nab the absconding accused. PTI CORR KUN
