On a six city India tour courtesy MoneyGram, a leading money transfer and payment services company, the 2015 ICC World Cup trophy reached the national capital today as thousands of fans caught a glimpse of cricket's most coveted prize.
From Bengaluru, the trophy tour arrived at its fourth stop and the glittering prize was displayed at a city mall, which witnessed India's leading models taking part in a fashion show showcasing the teams participating in the 50-over showpiece event.
Indian VJ and actress Anusha Dandekar was the show stopper of the fashion event. Fans in the city caught a glimpse of the top trophy, enjoyed clicking selfies with it and won themselves loads of goodies.
"It is a matter of pure joy and delight for a cricket fan to catch a glimpse of the sport's most coveted symbol, the ICC Cricket World Cup trophy and MoneyGram is thrilled to bring the world cup trophy to Delhi today. We trust that India's cricket fans will make the most of this opportunity to celebrate the best in cricket," said Kaushik Roy, MoneyGram's senior regional director, South Asia.
Charming fans between December 2 and 7, the trophy is travelling around the cities of Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, New Delhi, Jalandhar and Ahmedabad.
