Dikshit was speaking after unveiling a statue of 'Father of Medicine' Hippocrates at the institute complex. The Greek physician is considered one of the most outstanding figures in the history of medicine.
"We want to upgrade the Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences as a full-fledged university," she said.
The Chief Minister paid rich tributes to Hippocrates, saying his statue at the campus would help inspire the medical fraternity to do well in their profession.
