Officials said Dikshit has spoken to Union Urban Development Secretary Sudhir Krisna who told her that the report of a two-member committee formed to fix responsibility for the fiasco is expected next month.

The Chief Minister has also told the Urban Development Secretary to take steps to ensure smooth functioning of the show piece PPP project between DMRC and Reliance Infra-led Delhi Airport Metro Express Private Limited.

"We must rectify the problems in the PPP project and make it a success," said a senior official. Delhi Government has 50 per cent stake in DMRC.

Sources said Dikshit was upset over the blame game between the DMRC and Reliance Infra following suspension of services on the line.

The 23-km high-speed link was closed down temporarily on July 8 after the concessionaire found faults on the civil structure.

Since then, the Delhi Metro and Reliance Infra have been at loggerheads blaming each other for the fiasco.

Nearly 500 of the 2,100 bearings were found to be faulty and the Delhi Metro in consultation with the Indian Railways has come out with specific designs to repair or replace the faulty bearings.

The 500 bearings would either be replaced or repaired according to their conditions. The work is expected to end by September 20.

Earlier, Urban Development Ministry had set a deadline of August 31 for resumption of services on the line.
