Several teams have been constituted in the Crime Branch for linking such kids staying in children homes across the national capital.
"We have succeeded in restoring 20 more children staying at various children homes of Delhi to their respective families under operation Milap. The drive has been launched to check all the children homes in Delhi for matching their records with the available data of missing/kidnapped children. Total 120 children have been restored by us so far," said Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Ravindra Yadav.
Further, local police of all districts of Delhi is being asked to screen and document all the children residing in shelter homes, railway platforms, bus stands, roads, religious places, etc. Their photographs are taken by the concerned police officials and documentation undertaken to link them properly.
"During the drive, we zero down on the children whose details are incomplete or sketchy. These children are taken into the confidence and after compassionate persuasive conversation, they reveal clues about their native places.
