Delhi records season's highest at 43.6 deg C

Delhi today recorded the hottest day of the season with mercury shooting up to 43.6 degrees Celsius, four notches above the normal.
The minimum temperature settled at 27 degrees Celsius, which normal for this season and the humidity levels oscillated between 46 and 14 per cent.
However, respite from the intense heat is on the cards with the weatherman predicting that dust storms and thunderstorms might sweep some parts of the city tomorrow.
"Mainly clear sky will turn partly cloudy towards the evening. Dust storm and thunderstorm accompanied by squall may occur in some parts of the city tomorrow," a MeT official said.
The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 44 and 28 degrees, respectively, he added.
The scorching sun brought down the humidity in air which oscillated .
Yesterday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 42.6 degrees Celsius, while the minimum was at 27 degrees.
