Den to launch Cable Internet Broadband from September

Cable distribution firm DEN Networks would start offering Internet broadband services from September this year in all leading metros.
The company, which has invested around Rs 250 crore in this project, will offer the broadband services in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Pune, Lucknow and Ahmedabad in the first stage.
"We are launching broadband services. We have done soft launch of the service. We would have a full launch in September this year," said Den Network CMD Sameer Manchanda.
The company would add tier 2 places in the second phase of its broadband expansion, he added.
The integration of the cable TV business with broadband services is in line with global practices, he added.
"Its a natural worldwide phenomenon, where cable TV and Internet go together," he said on the sidelines unveiling of the company's Delhi Soccer team, which will participate in the Indian Super League.
Den Networks has an estimated cable TV subscription base of 13 million spread over 200 cities in 13 states. It is present in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Haryana, Kerala, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
Shares of Den Networks ended the day at Rs 206.85 per scrip, up 1.12 per cent from the previous close on the BSE.
