Denis Villeneuve in talks to direct 'Blade Runner' sequel

Denis Villeneuve is in negotiations to direct the sequel to 'Blade Runner' with Harrison Ford reprising his role as Rick Deckard.
The iconic 1982 sci-fi movie was directed by Ridley Scott, who has turned executive producer this time.
The film is scheduled to start shooting in summer next year. Hampton Fancher co-wrote the original with David Peoples while d Michael Green have written the original screenplay based on an idea by Fancher and Scott.
The story takes place several decades after the conclusion of the 1982 film, which was based on the Philip K Dick novel 'Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep?', reported Deadline.
Villeneuve previously directed 2013 drama 'Prisoners', starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Hugh Jackman.
