Dense fog in parts of UP, Muzaffarnagar coldest at 4.2 deg C

Dense fog engulfed many places in Uttar Pradesh and Muzaffarnagar was the coldest place in the state recording minimum temperature of 4.2 degrees Celsius.
Day temperatures fell appreciably in Varanasi, Faizabad and Allahabad, and were markedly below normal at many places of the state, MeT office here said.
The weatherman has forecast dry weather with moderate to dense fog at many places in the eastern and at a few places in the western parts of the state for the next couple of days.
