Deputy collector held on graft charge
Acting on a complaint, a VIB team laid a trap and caught the official identified as Prabhash Kumar as soon as he accepted Rs 20,000 as bribe from the complainant at the district collectorate premises, an official release said here.
The deputy collector allegedly demanded a bribe of Rs 50,000 to settle a case of land dispute in the complainant's favour and agreed to do the job after payment of first instalment of Rs 20,000, it said.
