Devotees throng Tirumala for Vaikunta Ekadasi

The devotees offered worship to the presiding deity Lord Venkateswara. The doors of the passageway are opened only once a year on Vaikunta Ekadasi, temple sources said.

There was also heavy influx of VIP devotees from all over the country. These included Union ministers K Chiranjeevi and Subodh Kant Sahay, MPs, half-a-dozen ministers from Andhra Pradesh, as also many political leaders with their families from the state, they said.
