Dhillon, Shreemann shock favourites, enter S/F at squash meet

Delhi's Jaiveer Singh Dhillon and Shreemann Raghavan of Tamil Nadu upset fancied rivals to enter the semi-finals of the 2-Star Matunga Gymkhana All India Junior Open Squash Tournament here today.
Jaiveer shocked top seed Paarth Ambani of Maharashtra after recovering from a 1-2 deficit. He won the under-11 boys' quarter-final encounter 11-9, 9-11, 5-11, 11-3, 11-7.
Shreemann, ranked 5/8, beat second seeded sub-junior national champion Jeh Pandole of Maharashtra 11-3, 11-4, 11-6 to enter the semis of the under-13 boys group.
In other surprise results, 3/4 ranked Masood Ullah of Uttar Pradesh and 5/8 ranked Karan Rathore of Tamil Nadu exited from the boys under-19 and under-17 sections respectively.
Unseeded Ananya Dabke shocked 3/4 ranked Abhilasha Bhasin in an all-Maharashtra tie, while Tamil Nadu's Krithica J S upset 3/4 ranked Mira Kamat of Maharashtra in the girls' under-15 quarter-finals.
