Expressing disappointment over the progress of reconstruction work in Kedarnath, former Uttarakhand chief minister Harish Rawat today said he saw nothing worthwhile in terms of development there.
Rawat, who was stranded at the shrine for two days recently along with Congress MP Pradeep Tamta and Kedarnath MLA Manoj Rawat due to bad weather, said that neither his "telescope" nor "microscope" could get sight of any reconstruction work worth its name in Kedarpuri.
"Even the work started during my tenure remains unfinished. In the one-and-a-half-years of its rule, the present government could not even fill the potholes of the roads built during my term," the former chief minister told reporters.
He also criticised the party in power for putting up posters of its leaders at the shrine saying it should have been left exclusively to the deity.
