In a letter to Jung, Leader of the House in North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC), V P Pandey, said the dues claims of the civic body is for education, basic tax assignments/ global share, maintenance of school buildings, maintenance of capital assets, and municipal reforms from financial year 2012-13 to 2016-17.
The funds are to be paid by the Delhi government from its revenue income as share of the corporations under provisions of Section 107A of the Delhi Municipal Corporation Act, he said.
The three BJP-ruled municipal corporations have been demanding Delhi government to release its dues as per the recommendations of 4th DFC recommendations which are yet to be implemented.
