A direct selling agent (DSA) of a public sector bank and another man were arrested on Wednesday for accepting bribe of Rs 20,000, an Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) spokesperson said.
The accusedDSA Dharmendra Verma and Suresh Kumar connived to demand Rs 70,000 bribe to get loan sanctioned to complainant Mahipal Singh Shekhawat for construction work. Shekhawat had applied for housing loan at Allahabad Bank, he said.
An ACB team laid a trap and caught Kumar red-handed while accepting bribe of Rs 20,000.
During interrogation, Verma also accepted that he had demanded bribe following which he was also arrested, the spokesperson said.
A case has been registered against both the accused and further action is being taken in the matter, he said.
