DJB advisory: North West Delhi may get muddy water from Aug 17

With the newly constructed underground reservoir-booster pumping station at Sector 7 in Rohini undergoing trial run from Monday, residents in some parts of North West Delhi may face inconvenience due to muddy water supply in initial stage.
Residents of command area of the 11 million litre capacity reservoir and pumping station, including Sector- 5, 6, 7, 8 of Rohini, Naharpur, Rithala and adjoining areas may receive muddy water during the initial stage of trial run, said a Delhi Jal Board (DJB) official.
"Though Delhi Jal Board (DJB) will release water for consumers only after laboratory testing, but the residents are advised to flush out any such water at initial stage," he said.
The water from the reservoir is scheduled to be supplied in the morning from 5.30 AM to 8.30 AM and in evening from 5.30 PM to 8.30 PM which may last for a few days, the official added.
