The system is named Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
"Deploying the ERP software would help DJP to integrate its dispersed organisational system to facilitate convenient decision making. The ERP system is being introduced in an attempt to integrate the entire functioning of DJB by making it easier to store and manage data at every stage of its activities," said a senior official of DJB.
The official said the move would positively affect the management and maintenance of DJB's assets as it would improve its maintenance practices and also help in keeping a real-time track of its assets by documenting virtually everything associated with each machinery.
