"Under the Hitkari Nidhi Yojna implemented from January 1 this year, DJB has enhanced the amount from Rs 10,000 to Rs 21,000 for the marriage of one son or daughter, Administrative Officer (labour welfare) said at the 5th Karmchari Sampark Sabha of DJB employees.
Dinesh Mohaniya, vice chairman of DJB, and Jayadev Sarangi, member (administration) also participated the programme along with employees and pensioners.
The new initiatives in the area of employee welfare in the past three months including registration of 275 new private hospitals and diagnostic centres in DJB panel, and directions for hand over of the medical booklets of the employees on the very next day of their retirement, were highlighted during the meeting.
