The WTP facilities closed today are located at Wazirabad and Chandrawal.
According to the DJB, water supply may be affected in several areas including Inderlok, Shastri Nagar, Azad Market, Beriwala Bagh, Bara Hindu Rao, Tokriwalan, Pahari Dheeraj, Regarpura, New Rohtak Road, Manakpura, Bapa Nagar, Dev Nagar, Model Basti, Motia Khan and Jhandewalan Extension.
Delhi Water Minister Kapil Mishra today reviewed work at the Munak Canal which is being repaired after it was "damaged" by agitators during the Jat quota stir.
Yesterday, the city government directed officials to prepare a backup plan for alternative sources of water so that residents do not face such a problem in future.
According to the government, the DJB has been asked to prepare a plan so that the city has 7-10 days of water backup to cope with any crisis.
During the quota stir, members of the Jat community had damaged the Munak Canal which is the main source of water for the national capital.
