Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Love Kumar was also present in the meeting headed by Singh. The directions were issued to all ADMs and SDMs, administrative officers, and police officials.
They were also asked to step up vigil during Dhanteras and Diwali, and start preparations for the urban local bodies elections due next month.
The meeting stressed on conducting checking drives and increasing patrolling in the district.
Singh said that strict action should be taken against the land, liquor and mining mafias, and attachment of the property of the arrested should be under the Gangster Act.
