"Prima facie it seems to be mischief of someone as nothing of this sort was detected in police inquiry, but a magisterial inquiry has also been ordered," District Magistrate Satyendra Singh told PTI, adding that the report of sub divisional magistrate (SDM) is likely to be received by evening.
An inquiry had been ordered following media reports on December 15 that some persons were allegedly forced to convert to a particular religion in Kamlapuri dominated by Dalits and most backwards under Matehi Kalan gram panchayat here.
The reports come close on the heels of the alleged forced reconversion of about 100 persons by an RSS-affiliate in Agra on December 8.
