DMDK chief to address meetings in Cauvery Delta

As part of the "Makkalukkaga Makkal Pani Thittam" (Service for the sake of people plan) series of meetings, DMDK chief and leader of the opposition in Tamil Nadu Assembly Vijayakanth would address public meetings in the Cauvery Delta region this week.
"On October 28 and 29, Vijayakanth and (his wife) Premalatha would address public meetings in Mayiladuthurai, and Mannargudi respectively, and on October 30 they would be in Kumbakonam for the Makkulukkaga Thittam," a party release here said today.
Under the plan, welfare assistance was being provided to the several sections of the society including farmers by Vijayakanth since August when he celebrated his birthday.

Public meeting is a key feature of the event and already, several districts had been covered under the programme.
