They said Kalidass (29), the DMDK local deputy secretary was kidnapped by two men in an autorickshaw last night. When he did not return home a search was launched and his body was found.
Police said they are on the lookout for the two men, who live in the same area as Kalidass.
The motive for the murder was not yet known, they said.
