"It is humbly prayed that this Court may be pleased to take into consideration the written arguments filed in this case and confirm the sentence and fine imposed by the trial judge on all accused under the appropriate penal provisions of law charged and render justice," DMK General Secretary Albazhagan submitted in his 81-page written submission here.
The bench had also allowed Anbazhagan and Karnataka to file written submissions in the High Court by tomorrow.
In his submission, Albazhagan submitted that the defence witnesses, including Jayalalithaa, examined have not adduced any valuable evidence to discard the prosecution.
The DMK leader also said that the defence witnesses' evidence satisfactorily account for the possession of huge assets disproportionate to the known income of Jayalalithaa.
