"We express our gratitude to the Prime Minister and this government for taking first step to ameliorate the ailing service health cadres of the country currently plagued by the alarming exodus to the private sectors and outside the country leading to severe shortage of the doctors across the country.
"Increasing retirement age uniformly across the country to 65 years shall also give the breathing time and time to introspect for our cadre controlling authority, Ministry of Health, so that measures are taken to workout permanent solutions to retain the cream of doctors in the service sectors who can serve public, patients and hence nation," said Rajeev Sood, Chairman of JACSDO.
"At the same time we are pained to see the 7th Pay Commission scuttling the 25 years efforts of JACSDO to get various committees constituted and procuring their recommendations," he said.
