The Rajasthan Anti Corruption Bureau arrested Amarchand Mawar while accepting the bribe, an ACB PRO said.
Dr Mawar had demanded Rs 3,000 to issue the disability certificate to the woman, Peerobaee, who met with a road accident in April 2011 in Alwar district, the PRO said, quoting Inspector General of ACB Smita Srivastava.
Dr Mawar later agreed to issue the certificate to the woman's brother, (the complainant) Palsingh, on payment of Rs 2,500 in cash. In a raid the doctor was arrested for accepting the bribe of Rs 2,500 and he was booked under the anti corruption act, the PRO said.
They, however, managed to give the ACB sleuths the slip after receiving the bribe money of Rs 1.20 lakh, the PRO said, adding that police have begun a hunt to nab the duo.
