The number of passengers carried by domestic airlines in the first seven months this year grew 1.2 per cent from 354.53 lakh last year to 358.80 lakh this year, official data released today showed.
The total number of passengers carried by all airlines in July was 48.66 lakh, compared with 50.14 in June.
Barring Jet Airways and its subsidiary JetLite, all other airlines showed a declining passenger load factor (PLF) in July when compared with that in June. PLF is the percentage of average seats filled in an aircraft.
