Domestic help raped by employer

In yet another incident of atrocity on domestic help in the capital, an 18-year-old girl was raped allegedly by her employer in Patel Nagar area.
According to police, the victim, who is a resident of Odisha, came to the capital a year back in search of job. She had been working at the suspect's house in central Delhi for the past eight months.
"The victim came to us this afternoon and alleged that she has been raped by her employer. She was then taken to Sucheta Kriplani Hospital where rape was established in her medical report following which an FIR was registered. Members of an NGO were also called to counsel the girl," said a police official today.

Investigation in the case is on. A police team was sent to arrest her employer who was not found at home. Efforts are on to nab him, police said.
The incident comes close on the heels of a teenaged domestic help being rescued in Vasant Kunj after she was allegedly tortured by her employer.
