In an interview with The Guardian, the 39-year-old said that hearing he had not been selected for a role he was vying for thanks to the "Kong: Skull Island" actor was no music to his ears.
"They're offering it to Tom Hiddleston," Cooper said but did not disclose the part he had missed by an inch.
When asked who would he like to see play him if a biopic is made on his life, the actor replied in a one-word answer, "Danny Dyer".
The actor is dating actor Ruth Negga for seven years.
