Miller was cast in July as the iconic DC Comics villain Captain Cold in an early episode of 'The Flash', which will now also feature Purcell, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Purcell will be playing the fire-obsessed Heat Wave, who has been portrayed in the comics as a member of Captain Cold's gang the Rogues.
The duo's evil plot in 'The Flash' will be opposed by the fastest man alive Barry Allen (Grant Gustin)
'The Flash's first season will also feature 'Prison Break' alum Robert Knepper, who will reprise his 'Arrow' character The Clock King.
'The Flash' premieres on October 7 on The CW in the US.
