Don't need suggestions from anyone on development, says Khattar

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today asserted that the BJP government in the state was working with a development agenda and said it does not need any suggestions from anyone.

"We are doing what a government should do, we do not need any suggestions...," Khattar said.

"People have full faith in our welfare policies. We are moving ahead with our development agenda," he told reporters here.

His comments come after Congress leader and former chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said the Khattar government should do an analysis of its work during the past four years.

Hooda had also reportedly accused the state government of making false poll promises and said it only did "event management" in the last four years.

Without naming Hooda, the chief minister said, "If he is so keen on giving suggestions, then he should have done all this (what he is suggesting now) during his time (as the chief minister)".

Replying to another question, Khattar dismissed the rumours of having any differences with Union minister Rao Inderjit Singh, who is BJP's Gurugram MP.

Rao had reportedly expressed displeasure after Khattar had arrived late at a function in Gurugram yesterday which was organised to mark the BJP-led NDA government's completion of four years in power at the Centre.

"I was in another programme with the prime minister and I got late, but I participated in the function," Khattar said.
