"The 5th Wave" star Chloe Grace says she does not regret what she said in her Twitter fued with Kim Kardashian but feels it was unnecessary to give the reality star that kind of attention.
Moretz had criticised Kardashian for her nude photos, saying it sent wrong signal to young women. "We have so much more to offer than... Our bodies," she had said in her tweet to which Kardashian had shot back with "let's all welcome @ChloeGMoretz to twitter, since no one knows who she is."
In a new interview to the Hollywood Reporter, Moretz says she has learnt to not talk about negativity.
"I realized if I stop talking about the negativity then it can't thrive. And that's something I came to very, very recently," the 19-year-old star said.
"I think I gave my attention to people that didn't deserve my attention. So in some ways I think I regret giving them the attention, (though) I don't regret what I said," she said.
Moretz says she has learnt from Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton that it is not important to be loud to be effective.
"But also I realized that being the most opinionated and loud person in the room is not always the most impactful. I learned that from Hillary. 'It's great to be feisty,' those were her exact words," added Moretz.
"But sometimes the smartest way to get into the psyche of people is to be the quietest person in the room. Let everyone else bicker and throw their words around and then you come in with the quiet voice and that will be the most impactful.
