The company had posted a loss of Rs 77.61 crore for the corresponding period last year, it said in a statement.
The insurer garnered Rs 162.88 crore in new business premium in the third quarter of the current fiscal.

DPLI is a joint venture between Dewan Housing Finance Corporation (DHFL) and Prudential International Insurance Holdings (PIIH), a fully-owned subsidiary of Prudential Financial, a financial services leader headquartered in the US.
